Episode three explored how we can control our attitude. Here, we explain the only other thing we can control: effort. The amount of time spent at maximum effort is equal to your level of success. Are you putting forth your best effort all the time? Is your effort THE best effort?
Episode two examined our lack of control. This episode covers one of the two things we have absolute control over: our attitude. Choosing to have a positive attitude is one of the most critical decisions you must make each day. Your attitude can determine how successful you will be and how your peers will view you. Finally, your attitude is contageous. It will spread to others at your workplace and your household. Make the decision, each day, to think positively and avoid negative people.
We all believe that we are in control of our own lives, but in reality, we can't even control ourselves. Excluding our attitude and effort, we have no control over anything. It is a comforting illusion, but recognizing our lack of control can lead to a more peaceful existence.
